Application for Commission or Board Appointment

Planning Commission	Reviews and approves development proposals for compliance with city codes; Makes recommendations to the City Council for rezoning applications; Makes recommendations to the City Council on long range, city-wide plans; Must be city resident and serve a four-year term; and Must attend two regularly scheduled meetings per month
Board of Construction Appeals	Reviews and decides appeals of staff interpretations of the technical codes related to building construction; Hears and decides petitions for variances from technical codes; Must be city residents and serve a three-year term; and Must attend one regularly scheduled meeting per month, if there is business to conduct
Library Advisory Board	Oversees the operations of the library and appoints the Library Director; Must be city residents and serve a five-year term; and Must attend meetings scheduled at least once per calendar quarter, or more often as necessary
Arts Council Advisory Board	Help foster a thriving arts community in Bella Vista through public art advocacy, education, appreciation and support; and Be a source for guidance and recommendations for the city's Mayor and City Council Members in relation to public art initiatives. Must be city residents and serve a three-year term
Tree Advisory Board	Provides assistance in planning/organizing annual Arbor Day celebration; Advises the city in the management of trees/vegetation on city lands and the need for increased tree canopy; and Educates the public about trees and their management Must be a city resident and serve a 3-year term
Active Transportation Advisory Board	Responsible for advocating for trails and bike/pedestrian infrastructure in city limits; Advises the city on grant applications and trail projects; and Strives for equitable access to active transportation for diverse trail user groups. Must be a city resident and serve a 3-year term
