Bella Vista EMS-Ambulance
The team members consist of licensed paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) operating six ambulances throughout the city. The ambulance personnel also serve as Bella Vista’s firefighters.
Bella Vista is a leading department in the area when it comes to technology and medical services. The department was first in the area to have on its ambulances a 12-lead EKG and IV pumps. In addition, Bella Vista paramedics lead the way in drug administration with the city’s use of Ketamine on severe trauma scenes and the Handtevy pediatric dosage system. The department was also first to employ RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) techniques, Humeral Head IO and initiate hypothermic treatment protocol.
