Snow removal routes

Medical priority snow removal
This form is to be used for chemotherapy, radiation, dialysis or home hospice patients only.
Snowplow trucks
Each winter, the city compiles a list of residents with priority medical conditions requiring chemotherapy, radiation, dialysis or home hospice. These residents qualify for priority snow removal during winter weather events. Forms are accepted all winter long, as medical needs can arise unexpectedly.

Appointment days and times cannot be adjusted on a daily basis during severe weather.  Submitting this form is no guarantee the street will be cleared by the requested time, but the streets are placed on a priority list and the department will do its best to address them in time. During a major winter weather event, major roads will be cleared first before secondary streets. It is important to note the streets on the list will not be cleared a second time in one day, for the patient's return trip home after treatment. If is recommended patients travel prior to a storm if they are scheduled to have a surgery performed that cannot be rescheduled and severe weather is predicted.

Questions or concerns regarding oxygen or other medical conditions may be directed to Fire Chief Steve Sims at 479-855-8248.
