Planning

The Planning Division, housed within the Community Development Services office, serves as support staff to the Bella Vista Planning Commission. The staff provides the City of Bella Vista with current and comprehensive planning services and is responsible for managing growth and development within the city limits and planning area surrounding the city limits. Bella Vista Planning administers the Zoning Code for rezones, conditional uses, variances, and signage, and the Subdivision Code for large-scale developments, stormwater mitigation, incidental subdivisions, preliminary plats, and final plats.

As of October of 2023, the Planning Division has embarked on a 18-22 month long development and zoning code reform with Freese and Nichols! Want to submit comments or stay up to date on where we are in this exciting process? Check out our project website here.
